The UPA is hosting College Nationals in Boulder this weekend. 670 Players, 32 Teams. Things got rolling today with team registration, player packs and the captains meeting. This is a pretty big deal. I've got my bike rack. It is amazingly beautiful. KennyG next to me here at the Folsom St Coffee shop keeps shaking his golden curly locks as he reads his Outdoor Magazine cloaked in hemp Patagonia gear.
Had some excitement on the highway yesterday. Just outside of Denver some turd dropped the rearvew mirror off the side of their Chevy truck and it launched up under my van. There was much banging and ever since I have an exhaust leak or some crap. The dogs are pissed, I'm pissed. Is that what makes this an adventure?
Had accommodations offered by a friendly Boulder Vanagon owner. Up Boulder Canyon and up and up and off road and now there is snow and we keep climbing. People still have their studded tires on. Saw a fox. Twisty steep roads and Westies just aren't too compatible. After an hour searching I abandon. We sleep at a quiet roadside pull-off and it is cold! This morning I found a very quaint lodge/campground at the base of Four Mile Canyon. We will stay here for the remainder of the visit. I can easily ride my bike down into Boulder and do my business. Hot showers are nice.
The dogs wanna rock. Griffin immediately goes straight in the ice cold water. Ghost dog marks everything in sight and finds something dead to eat. Poor guy is starved.
Now let's find that exhaust leak.

Today we push through the state with no reason to stop. I wish there was something to distract in Nebraska. Flat and more flat. North Platte is the last stop before Colorado and we find Wild Bill relic. Love the Mufflerman as Injun!
